Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website (https://www.cleantruckchecksfv.com) is run by Verdant Links LLC (“we”, “us”). We do business online only. We are a free referral service, not a testing station. We send your request to an independent CARB-credentialed Clean Truck Check tester. Not affiliated with CARB.

What we collect

When you send the request form, we collect:

Identifiers: your name, phone number and email address.
City-level location: the city you enter.
Commercial information: truck year, make and model, and what you write in your message.
Your choice on the call-and-text consent box, the exact version of the wording you saw, and the date and time.

When you send a form, we also record:

A one-way, salted hash of your IP address (we do not store the address itself).
The page you sent the form from.
Whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal.

We use privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) to count visits. If we turn on Google Analytics, it measures visits and form sends. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

How we use it

To send your request to an independent Clean Truck Check tester.
To follow up with you about your request.
To keep a record of the notice and consent you gave.
To stop spam and abuse, and to obey the law.

Our service providers handle data for us only to run the site: Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email delivery).

Sale of personal information

We sell these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, phone, email), geolocation at city level, and commercial information (truck year, make and model, and what you wrote in your message). In the last 12 months, these are the only categories we sold. We sell them to independent Clean Truck Check testing businesses, which pay us for each referral.

We do not knowingly sell the personal information of people under 16. To opt out of the sale of your information, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or email privacy@verdantlinks.com. We honor the Global Privacy Control (see below). We do not discriminate against you if you opt out.

Your rights

If you live in California, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collected, used, sold and disclosed.
Delete the personal information we collected from you.
Correct personal information that is wrong.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Not be treated differently because you used these rights.

How to use your rights

Email privacy@verdantlinks.com and say what you want us to do. Include the name, email or phone number you used on the form so we can find your request. You may also use an authorized agent.

To opt out of sale, you can also use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Opting out needs no account and no ID. We act on an opt-out request within 15 business days. We answer requests to know, delete or correct within 45 days.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale. We will not sell a request sent with that signal, even if you check the box for calls and texts.

California Shine the Light

You can opt out, free of charge, of our disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or email privacy@verdantlinks.com.

Children under 16

This site is for truck owners and fleets. We do not knowingly collect or sell personal information of people under 16.

How long we keep it

We keep form requests and consent records for 24 months, then delete them.
